Long before the factory farms and CAFOs, before McDonald’s or Monsanto, humans began enslaving wild beings, corralling them, mutilating them, breaking their spirits, breeding them into submission. This is where domination began. And now, the logic of domestication has engulfed everything: animals, forests, water, the sky, our own bodies.Animal agriculture is not separate from ecocide. Itis ecocide. It’s the leading cause of deforestation, desertification, ocean collapse, antibiotic resistance, mass extinction. Cows are not just killed, they are forced into existence by rape racks, then pumped full of hormones, then butchered. Chickens are bred to be so heavy they collapse under their own weight. Piglets are castrated without anesthesia.
